Overview
MT-IMU-9T1005 is a tactical grade Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU). It features increased performance for demanding guidance and navigation applications. The MT-IMU-9T101005 consists of a 3-axis high accuracy MEMS gyroscope, 3-axis high stability accelerometer and 3-axis magnetometer. The sensing elements of each axis are calibrated against drift and misalignment. The temperature information of the sensors is sent together with inertial information so that it can be used over the entire operating temperature range.
A reliable, high-speed ARM microcontroller allows easy configuration and programming of the device. The user can set parameters such as sampling frequency, protocol content, communication transmission bit rate.
Configurable communication protocols, electromagnetic interference (EMI) protection and flexible input power requirements facilitate the use of the MT-IMU-9T101005 in a wide range of high-end integrated system applications.
The advanced, differential sensor design negates the effect of linear acceleration, allowing the IMU to operate in extremely harsh environments where shock and vibration are present. In many applications, the MT-IMU-9T1005 can competitively replace MUs using Fiber Optic Gyroscopes and improve system performance in terms of ruggedness, reliability, size, weight, power and cost.
